About Immobilo
Connecting the idea to the life of a place
Immobilo is a development partner for hospitality and living communities. We work with family offices, private investors and landowners to shape a coherent project, test its economics and coordinate the people needed to deliver it.
Our interest is in places with a clear purpose and a lasting role in people’s lives. Architecture, commercial decisions and continuing services are considered together, with the scope and responsibilities agreed for each project.
Founder
Georges Matar

Georges Matar works where architecture, finance and development meet. For more than twenty years he has taken projects from first sketch and financial case through design, construction and long-term operation.
He trained as an architect at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA, 2002) and earned a master’s in Real Estate Management and Finance from ESTP Paris (2006).
He joined Matar + Partners, the design-and-build practice his family founded in 1982, after graduating in 2002. From 2006 to 2018 he was also at Bank Audi, where he managed the bank’s real estate portfolio, co-managed the development of Faqra Club through to its sale, and structured real estate funds in Saudi Arabia. At Faqra he oversaw everything from infrastructure to property management and the life of the community.
In 2018 he took on a leading role at Matar + Partners to build out the firm’s real estate arm. Today the firm covers architecture, design-and-build, rehabilitation and owner representation across residential, corporate, educational and healthcare work, including projects for Notre Dame University (NDU).
That platform now reaches beyond Lebanon. Through Immobilo Investments he develops and manages residential assets in Portugal, including student housing, serviced residences and the conversion of a heritage palace in Lisbon. Through Bluestone Properties he develops projects on the island of Paros.
His approach is simple: design that holds its value, numbers that hold up, and the right team to deliver both.

Communities with a shared purpose
One direction we want to explore is a community built around an educational or sporting anchor. An international school or sports academy could shape everyday life beyond the homes themselves.
